A message from our Club Captain

Hi everyone, welcome!
It is with great pleasure that the Carlton Netball Committee welcomes all new players and returning members to the netball season for 2020. The Club had a great year in 2019 and is looking forward to the same strong competition and Club camaraderie for 2020.
We wish to welcome our new coaches/managers for the 2020 season:

Team four: Pena Katu and Elizabeth Asi supported by manager Tracey Beetham

Team Ravens: Coach to be appointed In addition, we have non training teams: Cavaliers, Titans, Rusty’s and Silver.
At Carlton, we pride ourselves on being one of the friendliest and most competitive clubs in Auckland, often securing good competition results across all team grades.  We are committed to making 2020 even better than 2019 and we have exciting times ahead with the netball season almost set to commence.
The Committee and I would like to wish all teams participating in preseason, kicking off this Thursday!!  Good luck and have fun!!

And finally, the Carlton Netball Club Annual General Meeting is scheduled for this weekend.

When does the season start?
Premier: Teams 1 and 2
Pre-season commences 12 March 2020
Grading starts 4 April 2020
Competition commences 14 May 2020

Rest of Club:
Teams 3 on wards and other social/competitive teams
Pre-season commences 12 March 2020
Grading starts 4 April 2020
Competition starts 2 May 2020

Playing Fees for 2020
What are the playing fees? And is there any early bird discount?
Early bird Paid by 31 March 2020 $285 (incl $20 for Movie Fundraiser Night)
Full fees Paid after 31 March 2020 $300 (incl $20 for Movie Fundraiser Night)

Student fees
Paid by 31 March 2020 $275.50 (incl $20 for Movie Fundraiser Night)
Paid after 31 March 2020 $290 (incl $20 for Movie Fundraiser Night)
(Students are required to send the 2020 student identification to carltonnetball@gmail.com for approval).

What are the fees made up of?
ANC affiliation fee’s
Uniforms – dresses, track suits, bags, playing bibs.
Equipment bag – netballs, ball pump, first aid kit, training bibs, training equipment, tarpaulin.
Court hire at ANC inside and outside training courts preseason and during netball season.
Storage locker – equipment and uniforms storage facility
Team photographs
Prize giving venue and associated costs
Dry cleaning of uniforms at end of season

When are fees due by?
Fees for players are due 15 April 2020.

Can I play via installments?
Payment installments to be arranged with Carlton Club Treasurer:
Melisa Shore
1st installment – Deposit of $100.00 to be paid by 31 March 2020
2nd installment – Payment of $100.00 to be paid by 30 April 2020
3rd installment – Payment of $100.00 to be paid by 31 May 2020
Early bird does not apply to those paying via installments.
If a student is paying by installments, the final (3rd ) payment is $90 due by 31 May 2020
What is the Movie Fundraiser night?
Each year the Club seeks to fundraise money towards the Clubs end of year prize giving and the general costs throughout the season. As a result, $20 is added into your fees. This cost is a part of the fees and cannot be waived. If you are unable to attend the movie night, you can on-sell your ticket to recoup costs.  This year our movie is ‘Black Widow’ featuring Scarlett Johansson.

CNC Movie Night – Black Widow

Movie night is always a great evening – all teams turning out for the event. 
Want to plan your first Club outing – make it our CNC Movie night.

Date: Wednesday 13 May 2020
Venue: Sylvia Park Hoyts, cinema 6
Doors open from 6.00pm, movie starts 6.15pm.
Arrive early with your team and catch up for a quick dinner and beverage. 

At birth the Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanova) is given to the KGB, which grooms her to become its ultimate operative. When the U.S.S.R. breaks up, the government tries to kill her as the action moves to present-day New York, where she is a freelance operative. 

CNC Prize Giving 2020

We are yet to set the theme for this year’s Prize Giving.
But SAVE THE DATE for Saturday 29 August 2020   

We are hoping to again secure Grammar Carlton Clubrooms (2 Puriri Drive, Epsom). 
It is a central location with ample parking and easy to get to.
Presentations begin at 7.30pm.  
Last year we celebrated the World Cup and the costumes looked amazing.

CNC Fundraising 2020 – Grocery Raffle

We are starting the year off with a fundraising winner.
We are asking all players to donate three grocery products to go into a Club raffle. 
Please give these items to your team coach or manager.
All players will then sell a book of tickets and the money generated from the raffle will go directly back to all players, coaches and managers attending the club end of year Prize Giving.
